Established in 1982, Mid-Michigan Guardianship Services is a non-profit professional guardianship agency located in Lansing, Michigan. MMGS operates independently as a 501C3. Within our scope of practice, we work closely with many public service and governmental entities, including DHHS, CMH, TCOA, PACE, multiple County Probate Courts and other community partners. Our operations currently encompass adult Guardianships, Conservatorships, Trust administration and limited Payee services in the Tri-County area, as well as our satellite offices in Ionia County & Livingston County.
MMGS’s primary mission is to promote and preserve the independence and dignity of our clients through the legal framework of guardianships, conservatorships. MMGS is a member of the National Guardianship Association and follows best practice standards as adopted by the National Guardianship Association in all clinical, financial, and ethical matters. We serve older adults, persons with mental illness and persons with physical and developmental disabilities.
We support clients in maintaining a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on keeping individuals in the least restrictive environment as they can live in safely. We seek to identify and access services that focus on their capacity to engage in activities that promote an optimal quality of life. MMGS has a diverse and well trained staff implementing industry best practices for advocacy, assistance and planning for our clients, their families, and caregivers.

We offer 24/7 after hours on-call. If an issue or emergency regarding a current client of MMGS occurs after business hours, call our main office number at 517-372-9853 and you will be instructed how to reach the
on-call staff person.

The more information you include the faster we can evaluate and respond to your request. If your referral application does not contain enough information for us to make a determination it will not be considered.
Upon completion of the application you may submit it to us via fax, e-mail, or US postal service.

Update - Due to a large increase in referrals, until further notice we are only considering referrals in our regular service area of Ingham, Eaton, & Clinton counties and a limited number of referrals in our satalite locations of Ionia county and Livingston county.
